    Making a Purchase

    
    

    Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our shop, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into your shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

    
    

    We accept credit card payment, including Switch, Visa and Mastercard. If you are shopping from outside the UK, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet. Please do not send credit card details by e-mail.

    
    

    You may cancel your order within 14 days of your receipt of the goods, and we will refund to your card within 30 days of cancellation.  We aim to respond to all complaints within 5 working days, we will also endeavour to keep you informed throughout the process.
    
    Regarding orders shipped to the nominated shipping address that are returned to us as 'uncalled for'. To have the order posted again you will be liable for paying the original postage costs again prior to the order being shipped out. If you subsequently cancel the order you will be entitled to a refund minus the costs of postage.   Your statutory rights are not affected.

    
    

    Alternative ways to Order

    
    

    If you are unsure about placing an order through our online shop, you are welcome to call us instead.  Please call us using the details on our contact us page and we will be happy to assist you.
    
    Alternatively, you can place an order through our online shop and choose 'Pay by cheque or postal order'.  If you choose this payment option during checkout, please print two copies of your order receipt and return one copy to us with payment using our freepost address - your order will be posted after we have received payment from you. Postal payments are in United Kingdom currency only.

    
    

    Shipping and Handling

    
    

    Postage and shipping costs are calculated during the checkout process and clearly displayed before you are asked to complete your order.  We are happy to post orders to a different address than that of your home address - please note that this does not apply for orders shipped to an international destination.

    
    

    All orders are posted using Signed-for delivery. This means that you must sign for your order at the point of delivery.  The are no exceptions to this rule, so please do not ask!

    Please allow 2 days for order processing and 1-5days for delivery. 
    Most orders are delivered within 1 to 5 working days. 
    If an item is out of stock, we will notify you of this and offer you the choice of waiting, choosing an alternative item of equal value or refunding that part of your order.

    Most UK deliveries arrive within 3-5 days working days.

    Yes. Simply give us a call just before you place your order and ask us for our Special Delivery option. For a few pounds more we can send your order by 24 hour Special Delivery.

    We offer all of our customers a full 14-day no-quibble returns and refund guarantee!  Simply return the items you bought from us unused and in their original packaging and we will be happy to refund your purchase.

    I am a repeat customer of ethnic crafts, discovering them initially searching for Recycled, Natural Fibre & Sari Yarns.

    
    
    I emailed ethnic crafts who responded very quickly offering me advice and fair prices on my initial order so that I could have a "play" and experience knitting with the yarns.
    
    
     
    
    
    When at last I decided on a project worthy enough to use this beautiful yarn I quickly found myself needing to order further supplies. Ethnic crafts were tireless in identifying the yarn I originally purchased by sending me clearly labelled samples at my request so that I could be assured of getting my purchase decision right.
    
    
     
    
    
    As each skein is unique in its manufacture it is very difficult to gauge the quantity of yarn needed for a project so this help and patience was invaluable. I still may need a little more!
    
    
     
    
    
    The team are professional, efficient, courteous. My orders to date have both been processed quickly & efficiently and posted so that I was in receipt of my yarn as soon as was possible.       I always look forward to my package arriving from ethnic crafts - it's always a feast for my eyes and my fingers. The sari waste explodes with colour and I love using it in my spinning, crochet and sculptures. And to know that it comes from a women's co-operative makes me know I'm supporting other women, too. And the banana silk fibre is a dream.
