I am a repeat customer of ethnic crafts, discovering them initially searching for Recycled, Natural Fibre & Sari Yarns.
I emailed ethnic crafts who responded very quickly offering me advice and fair prices on my initial order so that I could have a "play" and experience knitting with the yarns.
When at last I decided on a project worthy enough to use this beautiful yarn I quickly found myself needing to order further supplies. Ethnic crafts were tireless in identifying the yarn I originally purchased by sending me clearly labelled samples at my request so that I could be assured of getting my purchase decision right.
As each skein is unique in its manufacture it is very difficult to gauge the quantity of yarn needed for a project so this help and patience was invaluable. I still may need a little more!
The team are professional, efficient, courteous. My orders to date have both been processed quickly & efficiently and posted so that I was in receipt of my yarn as soon as was possible. Where a small error was made this was quickly rectified and action taken and I believe this actually happened as a result of silkfromindia trying so hard to fulfil my order in the fastest time possible.
As I had to be away, they kindly posted the items I was missing to coincide with my return so that my package would not risk being lost.
In my experience this customer orientated service is rarely found these days. It is a pleasure to recommend silkfromindia for your yarn & fibre requirements.
As an added bonus: because of the samples sent I have identified other yarns I would like to use. Being able to see and feel them has given me confidence in making future purchases for wonderful knitted projects. I cant wait and am saving hard!

I was absolutley delighted to discover this shop.I originally found it after searching for some hemp yarn at a reasonable price and in different colours.
My inquiry was answered immeadiatly also with photos attached of the various colours in stock .All of them were so nice I decided to buy as much as I possibly could!!
After looking at other yarns in the shop I also fell in love the 'recycled sari silk' so also bought some of that too,really I could of bought alot more as its all so beautiful but I had to limit my spending!!
My yarn was posted out amazingly quick and I found it packaged well and the postage was spot on.
The yarn was better than I ever expected and I started using it as soon as I got my hands on it!!
The sari silk in particular is gorgeous and compleatly different from anything Ive ever used before I would recommend this to everybody.
Overall I found this shop to be very very helpful,friendly resonable prices and a pleasure to use.I will most definatley be using this shop in the future.

I always look forward to my package arriving from ethnic crafts - it's always a feast for my eyes and my fingers. The sari waste explodes with colour and I love using it in my spinning, crochet and sculptures. And to know that it comes from a women's co-operative makes me know I'm supporting other women, too. And the banana silk fibre is a dream. It's so soft and shiny that it never fails to add an exotic edge to my fibre work. rockpool candy,
